Solemn sorrow finds the heart
Stoic resignation stands
Eye to eye yet worlds apart
Falling short of just demands
Lost in thought and on our own
We at last admit defeat
Here again we stand alone
Our fairy tale incomplete
Leaving cold and bitter words
And lingering discontent
We take to heart what we've heard
